Plunge the ribs into the rub so that they are thoroughly coated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shake off the loose stuff and place each one in the rack.

Here you have the sauce…  Notice another “secret” ingredient… the Maple Syrup. 

Don’t use too much.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Proportions in this batch are a little more than a cup of Famous Dave’s Rich and Sassy, about a half cup of Jack Daniels, and a little less than a quarter cup of maple syrup.

After a while, at least twenty minutes, the ribs get darker as the moisture soaks through the rub.

 

Once they are thoroughly darkened it is time to put them in the oven.

In a couple of hours, this is what you get…
